Here is the explanation for the initials over the door at Ling Bob Farm Horsforth now being restored.See our previous posting.
This map in 1890 shows the dissused Craven paper mill closed after the railwy was constructed. Directley over the railway is Moseley Woods.

The oldest house on the farm being restored, big big job and one of the barns with this special doorway having personal inscriptions above the door. More history of the site soon.

Bank House, Broadway Hall, families Briggs and Blackbur and Bartlett Insurance.







Bank House now Bartlett Insurance buildings was built by the Stable family on Toulsons yard. It became the home of the Blackburn family around 1850 and later the Briggs family who also own Upper Bank House they refurbished the house and it became a dance hall and function rooms.
