Nice morning out to the Civic Hall where a jolly Mayor Councillor Gerald Harper presented many volunteer groups with a certificate. We were all very proud, thank you Leeds.
Horsforth Museum at the bottom of Horsforth Town St. Run by a team of volunteers. New volunteers are always welcome. The museum is open to the public weekends from the last Saturday in March to the last sunday in November. Exhibitions 2018/19 History of Education and Textiles in Horsforth. Original Woodside Tavern Horsforth. Day out for the locals c 1934
The original Woodside Tavern c1934 with the locals setting off on a day trip for the children. The original Woodside Tavern was on Low Lane at the top of Oakford Terrace in the Broadgate Lane junction area of Low Lane. You can see the date stone from the buildings built as a farm by Abraham Marshall.
