Robert Craven 1580 date stone at Troy Horsforth
In the picture of Troy mill there is a little house by the pond. That house was demolished in the 1920s to make way for traffic. It had a datestone over the door which some thoughtfull stonemason used in the wall and it is there for us to see today. It reads RC for Robert Craven 1580. Just to the left of the bus stop on Troy Rd.
