The Black Bull 1899 to 1912 and Horsforth News 1965
A little history of the Bull. I think the picture could have been taken at the handing over of the pub to Emmie and Charles Somer. Mr Steads name is still over the door and he left in 1899 back to Holbeck where he lived before occupation a puddler. Is this a picture of Emmie with her father sporting the beard, Charles in the bowler? we will never realy know. A datestone on Drury Lane C S 1901 must be for Charles Somer celebrating his career.
Does anyone rmember Jack on the Piano and Ray on the Drums? January 1965 Horsforth News advert.
